Our vision is to create memories that will remain with you for the rest of your life. We make your photo session an experience that you want to take with you for life. Our creative sessions are set up to capture and tell your story. We set out to make your images retell your story.
My wife and myself created Oak Photo Art because photography is not just snapping pictures. Every image we capture is a storytelling work of art that becomes a memory. On March 30th 2014 I got married to Cameron. In May,2014 my home burned down. The only things I was concerned about saving were pictures of my family, the Green Beret I wore while serving in the US Army Special Forces and my laptop. During that time, I was working as a Sports Photographer. One year after that I was blessed to have the opportunity to attend the Randolph Community College Photography Technology program. This curriculum is one of the best photography curriculums in the US.
After being through this school, my love for portraits and action portraits has become the driving force for Oak Photo Art.
Meet the Team
Owner and Photographer
I was born in the Bronx, New York. At the age of four we went back to Puerto Rico where I grew up and went to school. I have been capturing images since I turned twelve. I went to college in Puerto Rico but my two loves have always been Photography and the US Army Special Forces. I joined the US Army and became a US Army Ranger, then a US Army Special Forces (Green Beret). While I was in the Army I was a part time professional photographer. After retiring I dropped photography. I think that happened because I was a single Dad. I raised two boys by myself for ten years. During that time, photography was a hobby, nothing serious. I started dating my wife and she got me back into professional photography as a Sports Photographer. Three years after my return, I was blessed with the opportunity to attend Randolph Community College’s (RCC) Photography Technology Program. But, hey, don’t let the title community college give you the wrong impression. RCC is one the top Photography schools in the nation and has been teaching for fifty years. I chose to further my experience in LA by conducting my internship downtown with George DeLoache, PPA Master Photographer. I have now relocated to Los Angeles, California where I run my Photography practice. My interests and experience range from traditional and non-traditional portraits to action/sports portraits, events and time lapse sequences.
Business Manager and Photographer
My life began in Charlotte, North Carolina. I was raised there until I went to college and my Mom moved back to Atlanta, GA. I then checked out a few other NC cities and ended up in Orlando, FL. From there I touched down in Atlanta again and then onto LA. I gained a CFP designation and a Master’s degree before leaving NC which I still use today in our business. I am a SAG-AFTRA actor and run the business side of Oak Photo Art. I also have been fascinated with capturing images for some time. Before I met my husband my camera photography had gotten so obsessive that my sister bought me a Minolta of my own. I am a Sports Photographer in my own right, a second shooter for my husband and love the other side of the lens almost as much as he does.
